Arakanese Marked Ven U Ottama Day

Arakanese Communities in Malaysia, Thailand and Bangladesh held as mark the 70th Anniversary of Ven-U Ottama Day according to various information sources.
A report from Ko Than Tin(New York) said to an editor of Arakanland.com " In Malaysia, Arakanese people led by Arakan League for Democracy held the Sara Taw U Ottama Day at China Assemble Hall in Kuala Lumpur on September 9, 2009."
There were over 100 numbers of persons attending form difference organizations of Burmese, Mon, Chin and individuals participated. The four senior persons, Dr Aye Kyaw, U Tun Lunn, U Aung Pow and Mann Si Than(Karan), were undertaking as Chairman and Ko Saw Hla Khine also serviced as Master of Ceremony in this meeting at 2:30pm-6pm of Malaysia standard time.
Similarly, Some Arakanese National activates in Bangladesh (Cox's Bazaar), Thailand (Ohom Fran refugee camp) had held successfully marked as never to be forgotten Sara Taw U Ottama Day.
Ven. U Ottama, a world known national figure, a worthy son of Arakan, was the one who first instigated politically to arouse the anti-colonial feelings of the people not only in his native land but also the whole of Burma. However, awesome wow! All Burmese authorities have never recognized as Ashun U Ottama emerged one of the national leaders of Burma due to he was an Arakanese.
